Flexo Technology Inc.

Company history

Established in 1974, Flexo Technology Inc. (FTI) started the business by

introducing brand new technology and materials for flexographic printing

industry in Taiwan at the beginning stage. (In 1980s FTI had imported first photopolymer plate for flexo printing, at that time DuPont has no Cyrel distributor in Taiwan yet.) Due to imported plates, it must to have plate

making machine to process the plate for printers, since then FTI started to manufacture plate making machine not only for Taiwan market but also for export.

Now, FTI has to develop their own system in order to combine technology, equipment and materials together by their own brand as LaserBlack- for negative making and @flexoBag- for water wash flexo plate making, which have been granted with invention and patent in 35 countries and have been exported to 65 countries in the world.

These achievements come from the supports of FTI's long term experience in flexography as well as insisting their creation material and equipment in a level of easy access since it is from design stage and keeping high quality from all small parts to big device of the machine before assembly.

In addition to the imported plates and between the items which has been manufactured by FTI, LaserBlack Enhancer becomes a hot item for economic cost purpose and easy access of getting a positive / negative film by only using a HP toner printer which can be also acted as your personal image setter for several kinds of printing.

The other item is @flexoBag System which is a water wash flexo plate making method which is a FTI creation by using liquid photopolymer in a bag to treat the bubbles before process (in stead of occupying the exposure machine too long) in order for mass production purpose. No more toxic chemicals, green and healthy are major advantages of @flexoBag system in addition to save cost of using solvent. (Saving 20-30% cost of a plate in stead of using solvent.)

These two items are well combining together and becoming a prepress total solution good for flexo water wash plate making. One for making negative, the other one for flexo plate making, it's a perfect total solution for environ- green and healthy plates.

Technology 1st , LaserBlack has been granted patents in 35 countries and now we have our 10000 unit sales celebration. All the users are happy to have this simple and easy unit as their personal image setter, especially when it is very convenient and economic to make negative / positive film for label / news paper / screen / bag / corrugated board printing and stamp making.

@flexoBag with merits of Environ-green / water wash / low production cost it is on good purpose to substitute laser engraving for corrugated printing and it will become a new trend of plate making in the very near future, the reasons are:

  1. Hand engraving cost is high, fine area is not easy.

2. Low-end engraver is slow and with bad air pollution.

3. Trade shop plate making is always slow for production.

4. Solvent wash is toxic and hazardous no one want to use.
